National Building Museum

Because students in the Washington Internship Program visited the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in the summer for a tour and address by chief archivist Henry Mayer, an alternate choice for this week in October was

A lecture by Swiss architect Valerio Olgiati on his firm's designs, which was  delivered at the National Building Museum at roughly the same time as Bauer’s lecture. Nevertheless, WIP faculty and staff members didn’t consider the two programs at the Holocaust Museum to be redundant because tickets to tour the museum were provided during the Saturday visit in July while the October lecture was selected because of Bauer’s international stature, and no viewing of the permanent exhibit was possible on that fall evening.
