Georgetown University Davis Center for the Performing Arts, Gonda Theater
Speakers: Actress Olympia Dukakis and Playwright Timberlake Wertenbaker
On Thursday, April 20, WIP interns went to the Gonda Theater within Georgetown University’s Davis Center for the Performing Arts to hear Oscar-Award-winning actress Olympia Dukakis discuss her career in theater and film along with a talk by playwright Timberlake Wertenbaker. Dukakis appeared in Steel Magnolias, Moonstruck, and Mr. Holland’s Opus, among other hit movies. The British Wertenbaker was a resident writer for the Royal Court Theatre and author of Our Country’s Good and Galileo’s Daughter, among other plays.
